| 3 soldiers injured in miss fire, hospitalized | | | Early Times Reporter

At least three soldiers of 510 AC Battalion were injured one of them seriously when a Lance Naik's gun went off accidentally at a military camp in Akhnoor area, here this evening.
Sources informed that Lance Naik Bishesh Kumar of 510 AC Battalion posted at Akhnoor was cleaning his weapon which went off accidentally and injured two of his junior collogues.
They have been identified as Sepoy Muhammad Sajad Ali and Danajay Kumar Yadav who have been admitted in MH Akhnoor, sources said adding both have received bullet injuries in Hand and Hip respectively.
The Solider later fired one shot towards himself and received gunshot injury in his chin; he was immediately shifted to MH Udhampur where his condition was stated to be critical.
Defence spokesman said that army has ordered a court of inquiry and the mater was being investigated. |
