| HC issues non-bailable warrants against ASI | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 15 Justice Mansoor Ahmed Mir of J&K High Court Jammu wing in a petition issued non-bailable warrants against Nazar Mohd ASI P/S Gool, the warrants sent to IGP Jammu for execution and fixed 28th of this month as the next date of hearing. This warrant has been issued in a habeas corpus petition in which the Court passed order on November 2, 2007 and directed ASI, who was Investigating Officer, to file the affidavit indicating the place where 13- year old daughter of petitioner was detained and also about the persons who had allegedly detained her. Neither ASI was present in the Court nor had he filed the affidavit. In the petition filed through RS Kotwal in which it has been alleged that nine private respondents forcibly entered in the residential house of Mir Hussain, petitioner, situated at village Saldhar Tehsil Gool on May 31, 2007 at mid-night and tied the hands and feet of the petitioner and forcibly abducted his minor daughter aged 13 years. The other family members of the petitioner were also beaten mercilessly. The petitioner was dragged by the private respondents for a distance of about 4 jareebs and thereafter the petitioner fell unconscious. Due to this reason the petitioner was not able to walk, therefore, the report before the SSP Ramban was lodged on June 8, 2007. The SSP Ramban directed SHO Gool to take action under law. On the basis of this application, a criminal case alleging therein that the minor daughter of the petitioner was kept in wrongful confinement and subjected to inhuman treatment and also repeatedly raped by respondent Ghulam Ali s/o Fateh Mohd r/o Village Saldhar was registered. The petitioner prayed before the Court to issue directions to the respondents to produce her minor daughter in the Court. JNF |
