| JU students bring laurels to J&K | | Juhie, Shiveta, Sachin to participate in National Youth Festival | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 15 The students of University of Jammu have brought laurels to the State by winning three prizes in the recently concluded North Zone Inter-University Youth Festival held at Chattrapati Shahuji Maharaj University Kanpur. Juhie Mahan from the Department of Sociology was adjudged first in the elocution contest, Shiveta Pandita from Department of Zoology secured second prize in the collage making while Sachin Bhagat from the Law Department also bagged the second prize in the poster making. All these three prize winners will be representing the University in the 5- day National Youth Festival being organized by Shivaji University Kohlapur Maharashtra from January 20. Vice Chancellor of the University Prof Amitabh Mattoo, Prof N R Sharma, Chairman Campus Cultural Committee, Dr PS Pathania, Dean Students Welfare, Prof Dian S.Bhau Associate Dean (SW) Prof Shohab Inayat Malik, Assistant Dean (SW) and Vijay Atri Assistant Dean (CA) congratulated the winners. The team was escorted by Dr. Chardra, Shekhar, Dr Sarika Anand and Kulbhushan Thakur. Others who took part in the competition were Rajinder Pal Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Neeraj Sharma, Kanwar Iqbal, Anjum Manshas, Ashish Kant, Umesh Sharma, Ankush Manhas, Hermant Kumar, Rishi Kumar, Sarang Vaid, Naveen Sharma, Vijay Anand, Bunty Kumar, Kulvinder Kour, Priya Raina, Bhasha Sumbli, Rameshwari Slathia, Isha Taggar, Antima Kumar, Mridu Jamwal, Mandeep Kour, Preeti Sharma and Mamta Kalotra. |
