A Border Security Force jawan committed suicide by shooting himself with his official weapon in Akhnoor area, about 35 kilometers from here today.
Sources told ET that a BSF constable shot himself with this service weapon inside his barrack this afternoon. His colleagues noticed him in a pool of blood and rushed him to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Identified as Constable Jagdish Raj of Pali district in Rajasthan, the deceased was presently attached with 24 Battalion and was serving in Akhnoor. |
