| Contractual Lecturers filed contempt petition | | HC directed CEO Rajouri to appear in person | | Jammu, August, 24:- Justice JP Singh of J&K High Court Jammu Wing in a contempt petition filed by contractual lecturers, today has issued notice to Chief Education Officer Rajouri to appear in person, show cause as to why contempt proceedings be not initiated against him. This contempt petition has been filed by Miss Alka Sharma and others, who were appointed as contractual lecturers in the different higher secondary school of District Rajouri has filed a writ petition in the State High Court in which the state High Court after hearing Advocate DS Chouhan appearing for the petitioners on May 17, 2006 "”issued notice to the respondents subject to objection of other side and till next date before the bench, the petitioners, if in position as on date shall be allowed to continue in terms of engagement relating to them”. It was alleged in the contempt petition that the respondents have not comply with the Court direction dated May 17, 2006 and such committed contempt of Court, seeking initiation of contempt proceedings and punishing the respondents for deliberately and intentionally defying and violating the interim direction passed by the High Court in a service writ petition Titled Alka Sharma & Ors Vs State of J&K & Ors. Today Justice JP Singh after hearing the petitioners, issued notice to CEO Rajouri to appear in person. |
