| Airtel launches coin-box PCO | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 16 Bharti Airtel J&K circle today announced the launch of Airtel i Box (Coin Box PCO) in the state. Airtel has tied up with Post Office to provide this facility initially. This partnership comes as a part of Airtel initiative to help telephony reach far and wide in the state and facilitate communication need of the people through its Mobile, Landline (FWP) & Payphones (PCO) product offerings of Bharti Airtel, J & K Circle. The recharge coupons, SUKs will also be available through all Post Offices across the state. Announcing the launch of “Airtel i Box” at Post Office, Gandhi Nagar, Mr Vishal Sehgal, Chief Operating Officer, Bharti Airtel J&K said,” the launch of the Coin Box Payphone service will augment Airtel’s effort to help the local customer remain connected through this user friendly, unmanned, cost effective product. Mr D K Budki, Chief Post Master General and other Airtel officials were also present on the occasion. As a pilot, the Airtel i Box facility is being extended in the 22 post offices in Jammu and 19 post offices in Srinagar. The Coin Box comes with easy facility of making a call at Rs 1. Airtel i Box is a reliable integrated product making it easier to manage and use which enables a customer to make local, STD, ISD calls at the drop of a one rupee coin. PCO with an internal battery which gives upto 4 -6 hrs of talktime and a standby time of up to 24hrs. This product will shortly be launched for the general PCO operators. |
