| Clerks to go on mass casual leave on Feb 22, 23 | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 16 The clerical staff of various government departments held massive protest rally in front of divisional commissioner’s office, here today against alleged pick and choose policies of the state government, which created pay anomalies among the staff. Addressing the rally coordinator Ram Kumar Sharma alleged that since the govt. had removed anomalies of accounts cadres pharmacists, Patwaris, junior instructors and as well as the section officers, but the junior assistants, senior asst. and steno graphees have been out rightly ignored and are facing disparity at the hands of state govt. He added the govt. has framed no rules for the creation of posts according to the increased work load where as the vacant posts are not being filled by the govt. for long time. It is only due to the anti employees policies of the govt. that clerical staff is forced to come on the roads in favour of their demands. Sharma informed that in this connection entire state department clerical staff would go on a mass causal leave on Feb. 22 and 23, if the govt. is failed in fulfilling the demands of the clerical staff. Among others who spoke on the occasion were, Rehmat Ullah Malik, Ravi Singh, Bashir Malik, Anil Mehta and others. |
