| Volleyball: PG Deptts, Ramnagar College in QFs | | | Early Times Reporter

Getting a walkover, the combined side of PG Departments of University of Jammu along with Degree College Ramnagar, Degree College Kathua today sailed into the quarterfinals of the ongoing inter-college volleyball tournament organized by the Department of Physical Education, University of Jammu on the campus here.
In the first two pre-quarterfinals, played in the afternoon, Ramnagar College and Kathua College trounced their opponents in straight sets while PG Departments got walkover SRS College Jammu.
Kathua College had an easy victory over Government MAM (evening) College, courtesy a fine game played by Roshan Lal and Harpreet Singh. The score: 25-6, 25-14, 25-15. In the second match of the day, Ramnagar College defeated Government College of Education 25-17, 25-17, 25-19.
Another pre-quarterfinal of the day ended in a walkover awarded in favour of PG Departments after SRS College Jammu failed to turn up the venue.
Today’s matches were officiated by Neeraj Sharma, Mulkh Raj and Rajesh. |
