| NSF deputation calls on governor | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 16 A deputation of J&K National Sikh Front (NSF) led by its chairman S. Virinderjeet Singh today called on state governor Lt. Gen. (retd) S.K Sinha at Raj Bhawan and submitted a memorandum of various demands. Chairman of front apprised the governor about various problems being faced by the Sikh community in the state. Th0.e main Sikh community in the state. The main demand is to provide ten percent reservation in govt. jobs and professional colleges of the state like Muslims and Christians Sikh should also be given minority status. The governor assured the deputation for a favourable consideration. The other members of the deputation were Kulwant Singh Bhatti, Daljeet Singh, Gurcharan Singh Sudan, Harjeet Singh and Harvinder Singh. |
