| HC directs government not to fill up 13 posts of lecturers | | | Early Times Reporter

Justice JP Singh of J&K High Court Jammu Wing, in a petition filed by 13 contractual lecturers in the Higher Secondary Schools, directed that posts held by the petitioners shall not be filled up except as provided by judgment dated December 12, 2007 in a batch of writ petitions till next date of hearing and issued notice to respondents with the direction to the registry to list this case in the second week of next month.
This order has been passed in a petition filed by Sanjeev Kumar and 12 other contractual lecturers working in Higher Secondary Schools through Adv DS Chouhan in which the petitioners have sought direction restraining the respondents from replacing or substituting the petitioners by transferring temporarily promoted Incharge lecturers against the newly created 1800 posts of lecturers 10+2 against which the petitioners are working on contractual basis till regular selection is made as laid by the judgment of this court title Jeevan Lal and Ors. The petitioners further sought directions to the respondents for initiating regular process for selection. JNF |
