| HC directs respondents not to disturb present status of Lecturer | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 16 Vacation Judge of J&K High Court Jammu Wing Justice Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain, in a writ petition seeking quashment of order No 257-PSC of December 24, 2007 whereby the selection of the petitioner to the post of lecturer in Botany has been sought to be cancelled, has directed respondents not to disturb the present status of the petitioner. Court after hearing Adv Sunil Sethi appearing for the petitioner issued notices to respondents. Adv FA Natnoo who accepted notice on behalf of Public Service Commission was asked to file objections within four weeks. The caveat filed was discharged. Shallu Jain, in her petition submitted that she was selected for the post of lecturer in Botany but the respondents issued an order whereby her selection has been sought to be cancelled/ withdrawn as such she seeks qauashment of the said order with directions to the respondents Commissioner/ Secretary Higher and Technical Education, Director Colleges and Principal Degree college Udhampur not to act upon the order No 257-PSC dated December 24, 2007 issued by the PSC and also sought direction to the respondents to allow the petitioner to join and perform duties as lecturer in Botany without any interruption, hindrance or obstruction and to pay her the salary.
