| Rights violation graph goes down: Bhatti | | ‘J&K witnesses spectacular progress’ | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 16 The commitment shown by the government for protection of human rights in Jammu and Kashmir during the last two years has made considerable dent, said Z A Bhatti Chairman All India Mahatma Gandhi National Foundation adding that the graph of rights violation has reached to its lowest ebb. Addressing a public meeting at Dongi in border district of Rajouri, Bhati said that during the last two years there had been no custodial disappearance in the state which clearly indicates that the graph of rights violation has completely come down. ‘ Azad’s two years tenure as Chief Minister would go in the annals of the history ‘as years of historic impact’ he said and added that during this period the development received new impetus, political activities got a fillip and administration for the first time had been galvanized to fit in the new work culture. Bhatti said the state has registered splendid progress on different fronts and added that Azad drafted a new chapter of socio-economic development and political stability in the state and translated the goal of prosperity into reality. ‘The days are gone when people were befooled by sloganeering, emotion exploitation and regional bias’, he said adding that public is wiser enough to read between the lines and identify the political skullduggery. He said people of Jammu and Kashmir should realize their responsibilities and not to fall pray to the misleading propaganda by vested interests. |
