| Women empowerment training programmes conclude | | | Early Times Reporter

Shakti Sadan, the Vocational Training cum Women Empowerment Centre completed three courses of women empowerment training for the needy women, the training of the fourth batch comprising of 30 women commenced at ‘Shakti Sadan’ Reasi, today. Mrs Usha Panjikar, President Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA), Uniform Force has personally reviewed the syllabi for the fourth batch to ensure smooth conduct of training with a view to extend maximum benefit to the trainees.
30 women, hailing from remote areas will be undergoing two months of comprehensive training schedule which apart from honing their personal skills will infuse lot of confidence in them. Stitching, knitting, Food Processing, Candle Making, Handicraft, Personal Grooming and health awareness are some of the compulsory and optional subjects in which these women will be trained. Proper training infrastructure and training material is provided by Uniform Force at the ‘Shakti Sadan’ as part of ongoing ‘Operation Sadbhavana’ Project. |
