| Deputation from Sonawari call on Sayeed | | | Early Times Reporter

Deputation from Sonawari of district Bandipore called on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Patron, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed here today and demanded opening of a degree college at Sonawari. They said the students of the area are facing a lot of problems as they have to go to other colleges of the Valley to continue their education. Most of the public is poor and are unable to afford the huge expenses to continue the education of their wards in far-off places.
The deputation also demanded grant of Sub-Division to Sumbal and Tehsil status for Hajin, besides resumption of work on Asham Bridge which connects the vast upper and lower block of Sumbal Sonawari. The work on the bridge was stopped due to the non-availability of funds.
The PDP Patron assured the deputation that he will pursue the issues raised by them and follow their problems at the earliest. |
