The opposition members demanded a time bound assurance in this regard while asserting that the absences of the officials have left the entire revenue department defunct. JKNPP also demanded rationalization of Niabats disturbed due to carving out of new districts and Tehsils. The trouble erupted when Javed Rana of National Conference sought the details about the vacant posts of Niab Tehsildars in his question. Unsatisfied over the reply by Minster of State Revenue Aijaz Ahmed Khan who said that the government is contemplating to temporarily engage retired Naib Tehsildars for filling up of posts. He said that in the meantime government has referred 92 posts to SRRB for selection. He however could not give a time limit for the selection as demanded by the opposition members. On this entire opposition staged a walk out to register its protests. |
