| Uproar in LA over relief to earthquake survivals | | NC members staged walk out | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 18 The issue of compensation to left over earthquake survivals for their partially damaged houses rocked Assembly on Friday after members representing border districts of Rajouri and Kupwara created uproar accusing that government was sleeping over the matter. National Conference members from Kupwara and Rajouri shouting slogans against the government came near the well alleging that the question on the issue listed for today was deliberately avoided to save the government. The quarry was raised by MLA Mohammad Aslam Khan representing Rajouri. Members from Kupwara district, Mir Siafullah and Jamshed Lone also supported Khan who created uproar soon after the Speaker declared the end of Question Hour. The members protested for some time disrupting the Zero Hour and later staged a walk out. |
