| Vakil orders action against absentee officials | | | Early Times Reporer

Minister for Social Welfare Mr. Abdul Gani Vakil today made a surprise visit of R. S. Pura and inspected Balashram, CDPO and Tehsil Social Welfare offices there.
During the inspection, the Minister found a supervisor and a junior assistant of CDPO office besides a Balashram cook absent from duty. Taking strong notice of their absence, Vakil directed the concerned officers for initiating disciplinary action against these officials.
Addressing anganwari workers, later, the Minister called for making quality nutrition available to children. He exhorted them to be thoroughly professional in nursing and nurturing tender ones. “Social Welfare Department has a larger role in protecting health of younger generation and anganwari workers have to fulfill this social obligation by rendering their duty with exemplary dedication”, he said. |
