Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 18 Scheduled for tomorrow, the third of the ongoing Indo-Pak series at different venues, the mega wrestling event at Sports Stadium Katra, has been postponed for some later date. “We had fully prepared our self for the memorable event, but the rains spoiled the sports and we had left with no other option to postpone the wrestling event. Since, both the teams have busy schedule ahead, we are expected to get a suitable date after January 26,”general secretary of the Reasi Wrestling Association, Ashu Magotra told Sports & Allied News. In the meantime, the J&K Wrestling Association, the coordinating body between the Reasi Association and Wrestling Federation of India, has already informed the organizing committee at the national level. “We waited till yesterday for rains to stop, but no way, it continues till today. So, I have conveyed to the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) our inability to host the event on the given date i.e. tomorrow,” general secretary of the J&K Wrestling Association, Dushyant Sharma told ET. |
