The Department of Physical Education, University of Jammu, due to rains in the city, has postponed the inter-college volleyball tournament for January 23.
“Already entered the last eight stage, the competitions shall start from quarterfinals at the same venue and time,” incharge of volleyball tournament, Romesh Sharma told ET.
It may be recalled that earlier the lawn tennis competitions were postponed for January 21 due to rains.
Meanwhile, the annual inter-college football tournament, scheduled to start tomorrow, has also been postponed for obvious reasons, the wet ground on the campus.
“The football tournament shall be now starting from January 28 on the campus,” incharge of football competitions and senior football coach of the University of Jammu, Dr Brij Biloria told ET. |
