| Business skill development programme held | | | Early Times Reporter

Micro Small & Medium Enterprises Development Institute (MSMEDI), Jammu a functionary of Ministry of Micro Small & Medium Enterprises, formerly Ministry of Small Scale Industries, Government of India that works for the promotion and development of Micro Small and Medium Sector in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
The institution in addition to the other works, conduct different training programme like Entrepreneurship Development Programme, Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme, Business Skill Development Programme and Motivation Campaigns etc. During these programmes, the institution adopts a holistic approach with an objective to provide road map to the participants for setting up their own self employment enterprises by in – house faculty as well as expert guest faculty representing various departments.
In this pursuit the MSMED Institute recently organized 22 days long Business Skill Development Programme at Shri. Mata Vaishno Devi University, Kakriyal, Katra as a part of Memorandum of Understanding with SMVDU benefiting 30 participants with different academic background such as MBA, MBE, Industrial Bio Technology, B. Tech etc. During the programme, these participants have been imparted various inputs, such as Behavior Input, Confidence Building Input, Support System Input, Resource Management Input etc by expert guest faculty invited from different organizations.
The participants were also made to interact with Ist Generation entrepreneurs and were also taken for one day industrial visit. The programme facilitated the participants in identifying their projects and understanding the road map for being successful entrepreneur so as to promote the cause of entrepreneurship among the educated technocrats.
The valedictory function of the above said programme is to be held on January 22nd 2008 at 11:30 AM at Sanaskrit Bhawan of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University campus. Hon’ble Minister for Industries and Commerce, J & K, Shri. Nawang Rigzin Jora will be the Chief Guest and Professor N. K. Bansal, Vice Chancellor; SMVDU will preside over the Valedictory function. |
