Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 19 An emergency meeting of Central Brahman Sabha, Brahman Kalyan Sabha, Dehati Brahman Sabha, Bhagwan Shri Parshuram Dal and Brahman Vichar Manch, jointly held here today, under the Chairmanship of Sh. Inderjeet Khajuria demanded that the elections to the Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha should be held as per scheduled on January 31, when the term of the present executive body expires as per the constitution adopted in the wake of last elections of the Sabha. The participants expressed apprehension of some conspiracy being hatched by the members of present executive body to unconstitutionally extend their term, so that the existing team of office bearers and executive members continues clinging to the post, to serve their personal vested interest. Warning that any such unconstitutional move will be resisted tooth and nail by all the represented bodies of the Brahman community at various levels, the meeting resolved that all the duly registered members should be given the chance to choose their new representatives, by exercising their franchise freely. The meeting also resolved that the fresh elections should be held under independent observers, to ensure its fairness.
