| Deputations call on Gharu Ram, highlight problems of border belt | | | Early Times Reporter R.S. Pura | Jan 19 Several deputations from Suchetgarh constituency today met the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Ch Gharu Ram and projected problems being faced by them in their respective villages. A deputation of village Sai led by S Sobha Singh called on Minister and apprised him about problems including repair and renovation of link road, installation of power receiving station, grant of old aged and widow pension to left out families, repair of faulty hand pumps, up gradation of transformers and distribution of IAY cheques to homeless BPL families. Another deputation of village Pindi Sarocha led by Ram Chand Bhagat met the Minister and demanded blacktopping of Jangwal, Nikowal-Trewa, Pindi Sarocha-Chak Mulloo and main bazaar Chakroi link roads, installation of poles in left out areas, construction of compound wall at Govt. Middle School, maintenance of interior lanes and drains, construction of bore well at cremation ground Dewangarh. Interacting with the villagers, Ch. Gharu Ram said that Azad-led government was committed to provide all basic facilities to the people across the state including healthcare, schools, colleges, electricity, drinking water and road connectivity. He said that various revolutionary measures have been taken to upgrade the basic amenities. He said that aspirations of the people are being fulfilled by government in a systematic way. He asked the engineers to redouble their efforts and complete all ongoing projects within stipulated time frame. Referring to the demands put forth by the people, the Minister assured to consider these sympathetically. |
