| Industrial growth alone can eradicate unemployment in state: Chaman | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 19 Separatism coupled with no concrete policy to tackle the various problems facing Jammu and Kashmir are the main reason for increasing un employment, little growth in the industrial sector, cover persisting of regional bias and above all depriving the people of their democratic rights being enjoyed the masses in the rest of the country. This was stated by the former union minister and senior leader of the BJP, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta while interacting with a group of unemployed youth who called upon him to tell there miserable plight of the highly educated and trained youth in the state, more so, in Jammu areas. Prof Gupta said that no doubt there is unemployment problem in certain parts of the country but in Jammu and Kashmir it was getting alarming because of so called special status bestowed to the state by the Congress leadership to appease the communal virus that was inherent in the ruling leadership of Kashmir right from the very banging since 1947. The BJP leader said without industrial growth there cannot be chances of eradication of unemployment and backwardness. He said that the state is having vast potential of Hydel Power and forest wealth but it is deplorable that the rulers of this party of the country have failed to exploit these for benefits of the people. Prof. Gupta alleged that taking advantage of the discriminatory status of Jammu and Kashmir, the ruling leaders during all these years have made mockery of the entire democratic process, so much so, even the 73rd and 74th amendments of the Indian constitution empowering the panchyats and locals bodies have not been extended to this state he said there is great need to educate the massed against the barriers between this state and rest of the country. |
