| Land mafia’s victim DyAG Dogra dead | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 19 After nine days of sustained battle with life, the Deputy Advocate General of Jammu and Kashmir Ajit Singh Dogra has passed away. According to family sources, Dogra breathed his last today at the Apollo Hospital, New Delhi where he was undergoing treatment. Earlier he was admitted at the Government Medical College Jammu but later in view of his critical condition Dogra was shifted to the Apollo hospital a couple of days after he sustained gun shots. It may be recalled here that Deputy Advocate General Ajit Singh Dogra was shot at and critically wounded when an unidentified gunman believed to be hired by land mafia attacked near Muthi on January 10. Dogra had received three gun wounds on his body. He was immediately rushed to the hospital for advance medical treatment while police launched massive manhunt to nab the attackers. On the fateful day, Dogra was traveling in an auto rickshaw when he was attacked by gunmen from another auto rickshaw running parallel to it near Pullia on Muthi Domana road. Dogra received three gun wounds and was immediately rushed to the government medical college. The gunmen after attacking Dogra had fled from the scene without being chased. In solidarity with Dogra, the Bar Association Jammu had suspended the work for four days. The Bar had accused the Police of in arresting the accused involved in the murderous attack on Deputy AG AS Dogra. |
