Jammu boxers dominate in State Boxing

Jammu, Feb 19: Jammu boxers dominated in the three-day State Boxing Championship excelling in all the age groups held under the banner of J&K Amateur Boxing Association at MA Stadium Boxing Rink, here today. The concluded with the holding of medal ceremony. Secretary, J&K State Sports Council, Waheed Ur Rehman Parra was chief guest, who encouraged the budding boxers and appreciated the Association for involving young men and women from all parts of the state in the competition.
Earlier, a couple of bouts in the senior group remained close among boxers from the state and those training outside in professional academies and engaged by the armed forces. General secretary of the J&K Olympic Association, Dr Ashutosh Sharma was guest of honour. In the meantime, the Boxing Association also felicitated senior boxing coach of J&K State Sports Council, Anil Wadhera for his nomination for the State Award.
