Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 20 Fifth National Theatre Festival at Amritsar opened with Natrang’s all time hit ‘Aap Hamare Hain Koun’ written and directed by Balwant Thakur at Punjab Natshalla. This ten day major theatre is being organized by Manch- rang-Manch in collaboration with National School of Drama, and North Zone cultural Centre, Patiala. Samina Peerzada , noted Pakistani film actress/director was the chief guest on the occasion The play shakes parents, educationists, guardians of society out of reverie of materialism, consumerism and unbridled desires. It compels elders to look around and clear the mess they have created due to their own amorous ambitions. Parents see their children an extension of their unfulfilled dreams and force them to become stereotypes and kill bountiful charm in them. In a pursuit to make them doctors, engineers and IAS they are subjected to every kind of cruelty. The children become mechanical and hardly get time to discover their real sel. Play deals with the contemporary problems that younger generation is up against from their own loved ones and surroundings. The artists who participated in the play included Mohit Sharma, Rohit Verma, Ruhi Singh, Krishan Gupta, sahitya Sharma, Sanchit singh Wazir, tanvi Sharma, Sakshi Anand, Gauri Thakur, Prachika kanotra, Sajara Qadir, Sarthak Dubey, Shabana, Rudraksh Gupta, Arayaman Plaser, Gopi Sharma, Anant Sharma and Kamaljeet Kour. |
