Srinagar, Aug 24 The Army today claimed to have arrested two militants of the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and seized deadly RDX and other arms and ammunition in the frontier Kashmir district of Kupwara.

Giving details, a defence spokesman said troops noticed two people moving in a suspicious manner at Gund Manchhar in Kupwara district on August 22 evening.

When challenged, both the militants tried to escape. However, troops later chased and apprehended them, he added.

The spokesman said the arrested militants were identified as Gulshah Ahmad (22), a resident of Hungalla Kishtwar area of Doda district, and Tariq Ahmad Hazzan (25) of Botingu in Sopore.
