| 1 killed, 15 injured as matador turns turtle | | Locals stage protest, damage ambulance | | Early Times Reporter

One person died and fifteen others were injured, one of them critically, when a matador on its way to Jurian turns turtle near village Sangad, in Akhnoor area on Monday evening.
Sources informed that a Tata 407 Matador (JK02J-0097), which was on its way to Sangad from Jurian, turned turtle when its back wheel burst suddenly resulting in to the on the spot death of one person and injuries to fifteen others.
The decease has been identified as Tilak Raj son of Thuru Ram of Kuleth village of Akhnoor.
People at Jurian protested against health department and MLA concerned for non-availability of Ambulance driver in the hospital.
"Three of the injured were in critical condition and were to be shifted to Jammu for immediate treatment but the ambulance driver was not available in the hospital, which turned the people furious", an eyewitness told News Agency of Kashmir.
He said that the locals staged a protest demonstration against the health department and also damaged the ambulance parked in the hospital.
Seven passengers with minor injuries were shifted to Primary Health center Jurian while seven others were shifted to Sub district Akhnoor and critically injured Rajni Sharma was shifted to Government College Jammu. |
