| Industrialists burn PDD effigy | | | Early Times Reporter

Federation of Industries (FoI) Jammu today burnt effigy of corrupt and inefficient officials of PDD to protest aginst unscheduled power cuts which is crippling the entire industrial fraternity.
The industrial fraternity strongly condemned the working of Power Development Department where no official is accountable for repeated power failures and alleged that there is no coordination between the various wings of the Power Department responsible for the supply, maintenance and up keep of power infrastructure in the industrial complex.
FoI Chairman Anil Suri said that due to the negligence of PDD authorities the industries had to face loss of 150 crores. He on behalf of the FOI appealed to the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to intervene in the matter and take necessary action against the erring officials of the power department so that the suffering of the industry is mitigated.
Those who present on the occasion included, Rajesh Jain, Romesh Badyal, TS Reen, Rakesh Bhat, Deepak Dhawan, Sanjay Mehra, Sudershan Sharma and Sidharth Dogra. |
