| Infrastructure: Council’s no to unaffiliated bodies | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 21 The J&K State Sports Council has decided not to allow the use of its infrastructure by the unrecognized sports associations and those parallel bodies functioning in Jammu and Kashmir in future. The order which was issued in November last wide No. SE/634/5694-5700 by the Secretary, J&K State Sports Council, Ravinder Gupta said that use of infrastructure by unrecognized sports bodies at the cost of regular coaching classes at different stadiums shall not be allowed any more. In the same circular, the Secretary has advised the lower rung officials not to grant permission to such sports bodies which are not affiliated with the State Sports Council. Disobedience of the orders, according to the circular, shall be dealt with action under rules against the erring official. The circular also mentioned that the activities of such parallel associations further create confusion among the players and the parents. Contrary to the claims, a couple of newly created martial arts disciplines continue to use the infrastructure to run regular coaching classes at MA Stadium without seeking requisite permission. |
