| Make Azad PCC chief: Rajesh | | | Early Times Reporter

A meeting of Congress leaders was held here under the Chairmanship of Rajesh Gupta senior party leader following resignation of Peerzada Mohammad Syed over corruption charges. The participants at the meeting felt that the decision on new PCC Chief has been necessitated following the current situation.
Rajesh Gupta purposed the name of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad as PCC chief and also appealed Sonia Gandhi to appoint Azad on the post. He said Azad’s candidature for the post will help in raising the party profile in J&K.
The leaders also suggested the name of Abdul Gani Vakil if Azad refuses to accept the post of PCC Chief. The leaders who attended the meeting were Raval Mattoo, Anwer and Baljeet Singh. |
