| Chandi Dham to come up soon | | Maha Sammelan is being organized shortly: Hem Raj | | EarlY Times Reporter

Shri Chandi Mata Machail Trust has decided to construct a Chandi Dam and also provide facilities for the annual yatra on the pattern of Mata Vasihno Devi and Shri Amar Nath Shrine Boards. For this purpose a blue print is being got prepared shortly which will be executed with the consultation of the members of the Trust in a phased manner.
The decision to this effect was taken at the general body meeting of the Trust which met here today under the chairmanship of Lala Hem Raj Gupta, advisor to the Annual Machail Yatra. Bansi Lal Gupta, Editor Nav Jammu and Advisor Yatra was also present besides hundreds of devotees drawn from Kathua, Udhampur, Samba, R S Pura, Akhnoor and other parts of Jammu also participated in the meeting.
Giving details Gupta said that due to the increasing number of devotees a need has been felt for construction of a Chandi Dham at Jammu as the present base camp of the yatra was inadequate Chandi Dham, when completed, will be first of its kind in Jammu, he said and added that it would provide basic amenities to the yarties besides comfortable accommodation to 5000 pilgrims at a time. It will have two VIP suits for Th. Kulbir Singh and Pt Krishan Lal who attained special blessing of Chandi Mata and devoted their whole life in serving the Chandi Mata
Gupta further revealed that the entire route from Jammu to Paddar and the Shrine will be improved with the involvement of more and more resourceful persons in the Trust.
He said the meeting also unanimously decided to organize Chandi Mata Maha Sammelan shortly to ensure mass participation of public in this noble cause. The meeting also took several decisions with regard to constitution of committees for successful conduct of the Sammelan where noted personalities including religious, social and political leaders would be invited. Over a lakh people are expected to participate in the day long Sammelan who will be served ‘Mata Ka Langar’.
On this occasion Gupta was appointed as Organizer for the Maha Sammelan and authorities to nominate members for the different committees.
Among others who took part in the meeting were S S Katoch, Om Prakash, Chaman Lal, Ashu Sharma, Sudesh Anand, Kuldip Kumar, Manish, Joginder Manhas, Madan Lal, Ramesh Padha, Chandan Gupta, Surinder Vaid, Harbans Raina, Kuku Dogra, R K Kohli and Mohit Gupta. |
