| Three employees, among four, arrested for misappropriation of ICDS rations | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 24 Doda Police today arrested four accused, including three employees of Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS), involved in misappropriation of government ration and selling the same to a local shopkeeper. SSP Doda said today that on a specific information that some ration of Integrated Child Development Scheme Thathri has been misappropriated by the employees of the concerned department and sold the same to some shopkeepers at Thathri , a case FIR 07/2008 u/s 409/120/ B- RPC was registered at P/S Thathri. A police team headed by Inspector Farooq Ahmed SHO Thatri was constituted to investigate the case. He said during the course of investigation, the police conducted raids at various places and recovered 200 kgs grams and 60 kgs of Moong Dal of ICDS Thathri from the shop of one Pawan Kumar. He said the record of the ICDS project was also seized and accused shopkeeper namely Pawan Kumar son of Krishan Lal resident of Thathri and employees of ICDS project namely Baljeet Singh, Statistical Assistant, Mohan Lal Senior Assistant and Ghulam Hussain Chowkidar were taken into custody for questioning. Further investigation of the case is going on and some more arrests and recoveries are likely, the SSP added. |
