Applicants allege intrigue to adjust blue-eyed

Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 9: The criteria devised by Cluster University of Jammu for the post of Hostel Warden has been questioned by the applicants, who have alleged that criteria of three years' experience in hotel management, is an intrigue to adjust some blue-eyed.
Applicants informed Early Times that Cluster University of Jammu had advertised few posts in the last week of February. For the post of Hostel warden, the University has sought Graduation as eligibility with three years working experience in Public Relations/Diploma in Hotel Management from a recognized University as desirable qualification.
"In the University of Jammu as well in other universities of states, Assistant Professors have been working as Hostel Wardens. In the same way, the highly qualified candidates must be eligible for the posts, but it is beyond comprehension why such criteria was devised", an applicant said.
He further alleged that the criterion for the post was formulated only to adjust some blue-eyed candidate by the University. "The entire exercise is just a farce and the name of a blue eyed candidate, who is to be adjusted is already finalized", the applicants alleged.
Contradicting the claims of the applicants, Registrar of Cluster University, Jatinder Khajuria said that there was no such post of Hostel Warden in Jammu University. "The faculty members, have been working as Hostel Wardens of Resident Wardens", he said, adding that they had not forwarded the requirement for the post of Hostel Warden, but the post was created earlier by the department.
"In the Jammu University's Guest House, there is one post, which has the same criterion of 3 years' experience. We have taken such criterion from there", Khajuria said, adding that they have sought such qualification, so that the services of the selected candidate would be utilized for Guest House of Cluster University.
"At present we have a guest house in Science College but we have no person to take care of it. If we have a person with such qualification, we will utilize his/her services to run the Guest House", he said, and reiterated that the selection procedure would be totally transparent.
