Not happy with the recent exercise conducted at the highest level to chalk out relief packages for internally displaced Kashmiri pandits; genral secretary of the SOS International, an organization of POK refugees on Sunday made it clear that the community has decided to vote against the congress party in the forth coming assembly elections in order to teach it a lesson for hoodwinking the commuity.
Addressing a press conference here today Dr Gurmit Singh General secretary of the SOS International told reporters, the commuity was compelled to collectively decided to vote against the congress party in the forthcoming elections”.He said ," we will not tolerate discriminatory attitude of both the state and centre governments and we have decided to file a case before the Apex court to highlight the disparity.
He said the way the state and centre govt are treating our long pending demands and issues there sems no hope of any comprehensive solution.
Dejected with the response of the centre and state governments towards issues concerning POK refugees Singh told reporters although the centre has announced economic packages for the internally displaced kashmiri pandits and surrendered militants besides others but one wonders as why every time our case is ignored both at the centre and the state level.
Singh said it seems the government want to solve the burning issues on pick and choose method and efforts made by it are mere eyewash.He said this way the government cannot reach any amicable solution on the various issues confronting the state for the lat 60 years by ignoring the issue of POK refugees. |
