Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, as a part of the Republic Day Celebrations, organized All India Urdu Mushaira here today, in which large number of poets of national and international repute recited their poems .
The star attraction of this year’s Mushaira was poets like Nida Fazli from Mumbai, Zubair Rizvi and Makmoor Saeedi from Delhi, Sikandar Hayat Gadbad, Rahat Indori from Mumbai.
The other poets who recited their poems were Shaid Mahili, Mumta Singh, Siraj Ajmali, Aijaz Ansari and Tahir Faraz, apart from the local poets including Arsh Sehbai. PS Betab, Vidya Rattan Aisi, Ahmad Shinas, Liqayat Jafri, Ghulam Nabi Ghafil, Khalid Karrar, Balraj Bakshi, Betab Jaipure, Sham Talib, Farooq Nazki, Shafaq Siopore, Ruksana Jabeenm, Fareed Parbati, Nazeer Azad, Zahid Mukhtar, Hamdam Kashmir and Rafeeq Raaz.
Farooq Nazki presided over the function which was anchored by Zahid Mukhtar.
