| PDP condemns use of force against protesting employees | | CM, Dy CM should look into their demands: Mansoor | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 30 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the unwarranted use of force against the government employees who were protesting outside the Civil Secretariat today to press for their demands. In a statement issued here today PDP Political Secretary Peerzada Mansoor Hussain has said it is unfortunate that instead of giving a patient hearing to the demands of the employees, the Government precipitated the situation by resorting to use of force against the employees. He said the Government should honor the commitments made with the leadership of the Employees Joint Action Committee and address their genuine grievances. Mansoor has sought the intervention of the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and the Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig in the matter so that the demands of the employees are addressed in earnest. He said the employees are the backbone of the Government and if they have any genuine grievances, the same must be looked into at the earliest. |
