EJAC, others held protest demonstrations

It was a day of protest rallies in the vicinity of a city when at a time four different organizations All J&K Medical employee's federation, Employees joint action committee (EJAC), Home guards association and All J&K ITI electricians' diploma holders association held strong demonstrations in support of their demands giving a tough task for the police personnel's at Shalimar Chowk who later cane charged and pressed water jets to disperse the protestors during which several protestors were injured
To press their demands, thousand employees of government and public sectors under the banner of employee's joint action committee (EJAC) today hold a strong protest rally second consecutive day in the city.
These protesting employees were proceeding towards the civil secretariat after being prevented by the large deployment of police personnel's at Shalimar Chowh who later cane charged and pressed water jets on these demonstrators to disperse them from the venue during which various protestors got injured.
The aggrieved EJAC were demanding pending salaries from last five months, cola, regularization of daily wagers and adhoch employees in various government and public sectors besides asking for the implementation of agreement made between government and the EJAC leadership.
Earlier, three different organizations which included All J&K Medical employee's federation, Home guards association and All J&K ITI electricians' diploma holders association at a time reached at Shalimar Chowk after passing through various places of the city and lodged their protests in support of their genuine demands.
Where addressing protestors on the occasion, the leadership of these organizations blamed the government for not considering their genuine demands.
