Jammu360 organizes trekking camp at Reasi

Jammu, Mar 19: Jammu360, a Jammu based travel community organised its first trekking event at Sukhal Ghat where in more than 45 hikers from different parts of the state and even from neighbouring states participated, youngest of all was a 20 year old girl from Kargil. The start up community is working towards showcasing the Jammu region's unheard and unseen landscapes, cultures, art forms and traditions and is bringing like minded people on the same platform. With these initiatives, community also aspires to bring the hidden places in Jammu on the tourism maps of the country and is offering experiences including camping, mountain hiking etc.
On March 18, the community distributed free of cost refreshments to the participants in the Sukhal Ghat trek and few experts shared information on how these treks should be conducted including pitching the tents, carrying the essentials, safety measures etc. The community is further aiming to conduct short treks for middle aged, science treks for students and long treks, camping and adventure sports for youth.
The fellow trekkers were asked about their feedbacks at the end and opinions for the upcoming events. Jammu360 believes in nature friendly activities. The trek organisers Ajita, Nipun, Shubham and Sugandha were carrying litter bags all the way.
