| Former Chief Minister built big bunglow on forest land in Bhatindi : Baig | | | Early Times Reporter

Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussian Baig on Wednesday opened pandoras box by claiming that former chief minister belonging to National conference had built a big bunglow by grabbing forest land in Bhatindi and several other NC ministers had committed irregularities by way of back door appointments during their regime.
"If you will force me to open my tongue I can go on and on.The leaders in the state are plundering forest wealth and blaming our minister who are no where involved in murky deals,Baig said in apprent reference to Kundal committee report and PDP ministers.
.Referring to complaints filed in the accountability commission against the state cabinet ministers Baig said the NC leaders were displaying news reports both inside and outside the assembly but I want to make it clear that notices were not issued against any of the ministers by the accountability commission. He said NC was running a malicious campaign but its own leaders were sitting silently over similar news reports which claimed that their own ministers,MLA’s were encroaching forest land in Bathindi. Where were they when their own people were doing this .They never set up enquiry or demanded resignation of ministers, Baig said exposing the claims of the Nationcal conference.
Leader of the opposition countering the allegations of MuzaffarHussainBaig told reporters PDP ministers were neck deep in corruption and the state govt under political compulsion was shielding them When PDP president has made it clear that their ministers will not resign under any circumstances than what state government wanted to achieve by holding a discussion in the house, ‘The verdict was already out and we maintained our stand that we will not settle for anything less but resignations of corrupt ministers,”Rather said He also made it clear that the govt never took them in to confidence before adjourning the hosue sine die. |
