| Workshop for Mahila Congress organized | | | Early Times Reporter

District President Mahila Congress Raj Bakshi in collaboration with NGO social workers organized a joint workshop of Mahila Congress workers at party headquarters here today which was presided over by Maj. K. Mohini, Vice President All India Mahila Congress.
Addressing the workshop, K. Mohini emphasized that Congress President Sonia Gandhi is extremely concerned about the economic empowerment of women of Jammu and Kashmir and is keen to support them for economic self reliance.
Appreciating the speedy steps taken by the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad for the economic upliftment of women of Jammu and Kashmir, the Mahila Congress Vice President stressed the need for launching more and more Self Help Groups in association with social services to help the women to generate their own income enabling the weaker sections to enhance their economy and stand on their feet.
On this occasion, K. Mohini and district President Mahila Congress Raj Bakshi garlanded one utensil-washer poorest woman Santosh Devi for joining the Self Help Group. |
