Jammu | Jan 1
Gadigarh residents are facing acute shortage of LPG for last two months. The concerned gas agencies are making huge profits by black marketing it, the residents alleged in a press release issued here today. The release said that it is the responsibility of the dealers to supply LPG at the door steps of the consumers after charging the tariff rates but instead it is sold to the commercial consumers to earn huge profits. The residents have also alleged that whenever a vehicle is dispatched to supply the LPG to the consumers, it is sold to the profiteers who have opened shops to earn huge profits from the consumers enroute. While expressing their woes, Bhajan Singh, Avtar, Mohinder Singh, Bhagat Singh said that if door delivery of the LPG on the scheduled days for the locality is not restored, the residents will resort to a road block, sit in dharna and other democratic means to press the government to mitigate the short supply of LPG on the part of concerned dealers.
