| ITA resents stalling purchase | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 1 Institutional Traders Association (ITA) today resenting the stalling of Provincial Purchase Committee (PPC) for purchasing and procurement of medicines by the Health Minister by saying that to benefit some vested interests department wind up PPC and make purchases on much higher rates. Addressing a press conference here today, Hari Gandotra, chief patron of the association said that Central Purchase Committee or Provincial Purchase Committee introduced for effected purchase of medicines through a proper tendering process and a healthy competition with valid rates which is an essence of modern era but some vested interests contractors are lobbying to thwart judicious process. He further said that these vested interest contractors have managed to stall the process of tendering and with any lawful justification of health minister got the opening tendering. Raising a question, the members of the association said that Health Minister has no role in this tendering process then for what Minister interfere and stalled the PPC to benefited unlawful elements who make purchase from others rate contractors on much higher rates. The association said that we are instructional suppliers are not asking for some un-due benefits by want a healthy competition. Association warned that if department stick onto their un–healthy polices then we will forced to knock the door of Court for getting justice. |
