| SKUAST, Jammu bags 3rd place in Agri-Tecg-Fest | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 1 Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture, Sciences and Technology, Jammu which had participated in the Platinum Jubilee Agri-Tech-Fest & Mega Farmers fair held at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi from 28th to 29th January, 2008 has bagged 3rd place in All India Stall competition/model presentation. The said fair was organized by the Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Varanasi. This 3rd prestigious award obtained by the SKUAST, Jammu has not only been appreciated by Vice Chancellor of SKUAST, Jammu, Prof. Nagendra Sharma but by the whole agriculture family of J&K state. The major activity of the stall which attracted maximum visitors was indigenous Kalahri and Aloebra (Quargandal) pickle by using indigenous technology developed by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Jammu. It was represented by Dr. Rakesh Nanda, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Jammu at Varanasi. |
