| Radio Srinagar holds workshop on commercial revenue | | Unemployed youth can work as Radio Canvassers | | Early Times Reporter

A two-day State-level workshop on commercial activity associated with Radio was organized here by Commercial Broadcasting Service of Radio Kashmir Srinagar.
The main purpose of the workshop was to deliberate upon the issues concerning boosting of revenue over Prasar Bharati’s Radio--- the only medium that has vast reach in the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
The venue of the workshop was Radio Kashmir Jammu and the inaugural session was attended by Deputy Director General (NR) All India Radio, Ms T Dolkar. Station Director CBS Radio Kashmir Srinagar, Bashir Arif was the Resource Person who provided valuable tips to boost the commercial revenue.
During the workshop, Mr Arif called upon all participants to encourage young and talented youth, who can work as Canvassers for Radio to generate its revenue. Mr Arif stated that such youth, who have market know-how can be engaged as canvassers and they can get a good renemmeuration/commsion for the job.
Station Director Radio Kashmir Jammu, Dr K C Dubey stated that Radio Jammu has a vast range and the medium is ideal for business entrepreneurs and government organizations to use Radio for publicizing their products or schemes. On the occasion, Ms Dolkar appreciated the working of the staff of CBS Radio Jammu, AIR Kathua and AIR Leh for their efforts in huge revenue collection. |
