| J&K Bank in final of football tourney | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 1 State’s professional soccer team, the Jammu and Kashmir Bank today made it to the final of Harbhajan Singh All India Football Tournament which is being organized by the Punjab Football Association at Malpur in Punjab. Now, in the final, J&K Bank shall meet Amety Club tomorrow afternoon. According to the reports reaching here, in the semi-finals, J&K Bank defeated Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala by two goals to nil. Ibrahim and Bilal scored one goal each. In the second semifinal, played in the afternoon session, Amety Club outplayed BSF Jallandhar by a solitary goal. Earlier, in the quarterfinals, J&K Bank blanked General Singh XI 3-0. Ibrahim scored two goals while Bilal Ahmed contributed one in bank’s outright victory. “The boys are in good form and the way we have beaten the opponents in the quarterfinals and semi-finals, I’m sure it is going to be our match tomorrow in the final,” bank coach and international footballer, Abdul Majid Kakroo told ET. |
