Jammu Cricket Club (JCC) today registered a seven-wicket victory over Friends Cricket Club (FCC) to advance in the President Club cricket tournament which resumed at GGM Science College hostel ground here today under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA).
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss and elected to bat, FCC bowled out for 151 runs in 34 over of the 40 over match. In reply, JCC attained the goal in the 31st over for the loss of three wickets.
Sanjay was top scorer from FCC with unbeaten 41 runs while Vikas contributed 32. From JCC, Vijay Sharma and Ian Dev shared four wickets each. Vijay Dogra bowled economical spells taking two wickets for 24 runs in eight over.
Batting second, JCC were never in trouble and surpassed the FCC total making 154 runs in 34 overs with seven wickets in hand. Guru Pratap remained the top scorer with 72 runs while Rohit Bhat and Ian Dev added 32 and 17 runs respectively. Tarseem and Sanjay took one wicket each from FCC.
Next match: United Cricket Club Udhampur to take on Government SPMR College of Commerce XI tomorrow at 9.30 am. |
