| PKM refutes CM statement on KP youth employment | | ‘Make list of appointees to public’ Chrungoo | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 2 Refuting the statement of the Chief Minister in the State Assembly claiming that 2000 Kashmiri Pandit unemployed youth have been appointed into government service, the Panun Kashmir Movement (PKM) has urged the Government to furnish the list of those appointed to clear the mist. Describing the statement as false and unfounded, the PKM demanded a special employment package to accommodate the educated unemployed youth of the community with out further procrastination. Addressing media persons here today, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo President PKM impressed upon the government to table the Bill in respect of Temples and Shrines of KPs in the present form in the special session as already announced and thereafter referred to the Select Committee and opinions sought from the KP leadership on the issue. The PKM President made it clear that no temple, shrine or religious place in Kashmir be left out in he Bill and all religious endowments in the whole of the Valley be brought under the ambit of the proposed Bill. This alone can safeguard the ancient symbols of cultural and religious heritage of the Pandit community in the Valley, he asserted. Impressing upon the government to implement its plan of construction and allocation of quarters to the deserving Kashmiri Pandit camp dwellers on priority as announced earlier, Chrungoo said that PKM fully endorses the government plan. He declared that 15th Annual General Meeting of the PKM will be held in April at Jammu at which a future action plan for the year shall be formally adopted and announced. A policy statement of behalf of the organization will also be issued on the occasion, he added.
