Bhaderwah | Feb 2
It is surprising that Bhaderwah town, the home constituency of the Chief Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad, is without any Sub District Police Officer (SDPO) for the last two years as a result there is no proper supervision on the police posts.
Talking to EARLY TIMES some of the residents of the town said that non-absence of the SDPO has adversely affected the working of the Police Department in Bhaderwah. They said that two years back Arif Rishu SDPO Bhaderwah was promoted to ASP operation at Doda and since then no SDPO has been posted in the town.
A police official on anonymity said, “Most of the SPOs can be seen running their business establishments while some of them are running tailor shops and some tea stalls that too in uniform. “The authority is not bothered to give ear to the grievances of people”, said Javeed Malik. He said if it is the plight of the CM’s constituency what would be the fate of other constituencies.
