| One killed, six cops among ten injured, in several road mishaps | | | Early Times Reporter

One person was killed and ten others, including six cops, suffered injuries in separate road mishaps across Jammu since last evening while Police recovered five bovine from a truck at Rajbagh.
The reports said that one motor cyclist was killed and the pillion rider suffered injuries when the motor cycle bearing registration NO 1931/JKO2A, on which they were traveling, met with an accident on National Highway at Kheeri Udhampur. The deceased has been identified as Sanjeev Kumar son of Balwant Raj of Baghote.
In another road mishap three persons received injuries when their car was hit by a Mahindra car on Jammu- Srinagar National Highway near Nandni.
The reports further said that six police cops of Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Wing suffered injuries in a head on collusion between Car and a bus at Nagrota. They have been identified as SI Romal Singh and SI Keshav Singh s/o Thakur Lal, residents of Ramnagar, Ct. Sanjay Kumar s/o Som Nath , Ct. Jeevan Singh s/o Sabak Singh , Ct. Pritam Singh son of Salal Singh and Ct. Jeet Raj s/o Acha Nand, residents of Udhampur.
All the injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment.
In the meantime, Police today recovered five bovine from a Tata Mobile and arrested the accused Khadam Hussain son of Kamal r/o Dhalote Samba.
The report said that during Naka the police stopped a Tata Mobile bearing No 02119/JK08 B at Rajbagh and on search recovered five bovine from the vehicle. Both the vehicle along with the bovine have been seized and the accused taken into custody for questioning. A formal case in this regard has been registered at Police Station Rajbagh, the report added.
